Well, this is an interesting place, isn’t it?
I’m Devlin, pleased to meet you.
I don’t suppose you have any Veilmarks spare, do you? Maybe some spare Veils down a couch cushion?
No? Ah, well.
If you’re looking for a good place to earn some coin, go to the temple in Karith. There’s some nice folks there if you go on a service day, though the Veilkeepers get mad if you hang around by the front door. Go wait around on the lawns, folks like to wait there after service. There’s a place near the tree line, you know the one, where the tables are for the family picnics? Go there. It’s amazing how fast people will give you marks if you hang around long enough.
I’d watch out for that shrew, Leah Talvaeren though if I were you, she doesn’t take kindly to folks asking her if she’s any spare coin. I was just minding my own business last service day, Just wanting to see if anyone was willing to buy an old man a tankard, and she just upped and kicked me in the backside. The husband didn’t even bother talking to me.
Rude.
Her daughter’s nicer than her though. I saw her near the common marketplace the other day and she seemed a bit sad so I gave her a pastry. That cheered her up.
Anyway, I have to go for now, I’ve a man to see about a service advert, but I’ll no doubt be back. In the meantime, try not to get into trouble, will you? I’ve invested too much time into you to have to haul you out of it every five minutes.
May the Veil guide and keep you,
Devlin.
